Plaques
Another method of extending Heinrich Himmler’s cultural and political ideology to all Germans was for the porcelain manufactory Allach to produce all prices for various sporting and non-sporting competitions. This was made possible when Himmler ordered his decree of March 25, 1937, which said: “Until further notice, I prohibit the SS from giving metal gifts inside or outside the SS.”
SS Obersturmbannführer Prof. Carl Dibitsch, one of the founding members of Allach, who was now Artistic Director at Allach, said: “We at Allach are of particular importance for the development of honorary prizes for sports competitions.” Allach not only produced plaques for all SS sporting events, but also badges for artistic competitions, the Germanic celebration of summer solstice competitions and honor plaques for the advertising campaign of the newspaper “The black Corps”.
